 Product Description

The Vortec is a light weight, durable, user serviceable suppressor, designed for use on virtually all modern .17 and .22 caliber rim fire pistols and rifles with a properly threaded ½-28 UNEF threaded barrel.

The Vortec has an entry level price with the performance and noise reduction of a high end suppressor. Our proprietary mono- core baffle is made from ASTM A582 416 Condition T Stainless Steel that has an isolated blast chamber and is highly corrosion resistant. This design is simple but very effective making it durable, quiet, and easy to clean. The Tubes and End caps are made from Mil Spec A8625 anodized ASTM B-210 6061 T6 Aluminum that take no special tools to disassemble.  A 15/16" wrench or socket is all it takes.

This is a Class 3 NFA item and will have to be transferred to a class 3 dealer in your area.

BEFORE YOU PURCHASE A SILENCER READ THE FOLLOWING:

A silencer or (suppressor) is an NFA item that is regulated by the BATFE (ATF), like machine guns, short barrel rifles, and short barrel shot guns. A silencer purchase requires a transferring FFL/SOT dealer to facilitate the transaction and cannot be shipped directly to you unless you are a class 3 dealer. So you will have to find a local class 3 dealer in your area to facilitate your purchase from us. Even though the process does require a little extra paperwork and a waiting period, it is a fairly simple process.

When you make your purchase through our website, simply list the name of your local FFL/SOT dealer that you have chosen in the “Order Comments” section along with their physical address, phone number and email address. After your purchase you will receive a confirmation email from us with your chosen dealer’s information in the order comment section. Please reply to this email to verify that all information on your chosen dealer is correct. After your confirmation, your local class 3 dealer will be contacted by Twin Tech Tactical to send a copy of their FFL/SOT to us at sales@twintechtactical.com so the transfer process can begin.

A quick internet search with your favorite search engine for class 3 dealers in your area should give you a list of dealers in your area that are authorized to make this transaction.

Once your chosen dealer sends us their FFL/SOT information, we will begin the process from our end and ship the silencer to your chosen dealer. You will be sent an email letting you know that the silencer has been shipped. Your dealer will help you complete the background check and other paperwork requirements before they can transfer the silencer to you. Your chosen dealer will also collect a transfer fee and the $200 SOT tax from you that the ATF requires. This process can take from six months to a year.

Also, keep in mind, to be eligible to purchase a silencer you must:

1. Not live in the following states where it is currently illegal to purchase or possess a silencer: California, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

2. Be a legal resident of the United States.

3. Pass a BATFE background check.

4. Be at least 21 years age.

5. Be legally eligible to purchase a firearm.

Canceling a placed order before processing will result in a $15 cancellation fee. Canceling an order after paperwork has been filed will result in a 50% restocking fee and no refund will be issued until the silencer you purchased is received back from your chosen class 3 dealer. If you are familiar with silencer purchases, then you understand the process, but if you don't, we suggest you visit your local class 3 dealer before making any silencer purchase.
