Twin Tech Tactical has designed, and is manufacturing a fully machined polymer takedown lever to replace the weak factory piece. This takedown lever is far superior to the Ruger injection molded part in two ways.
First our parts are fully machined from a billet block of a super strong, high impact resistant polymer. This process insures that there are no defects in the material, such as hotspots, porosity, or cooling cracks that are inherent on the Ruger injection molded piece. Second our parts have more impact surface area than the original Ruger factory piece as you can see by the comparison photos.
Although our take down lever is superior to Ruger’s factory piece, it is not indestructible. There are a lot of different factors that will affect the life of our TDL that we have no control over, like: shooting suppressors wet with any ammo, hyper velocity ammo, improper installation, and homemade suppressors. We have made our best attempt to remedy a bad design and these parts should be considered a sacrificial piece that could fail at some point in the future.

Best Replacement parts for the SR 22 , easy install took only 10 minutes from Disassembly to Re-Assembly. As Noted it Instructions * be careful of the Slide Release & Keep a good grip on it !!! And with a simple wedge of a blade for the Serial number and out it came !!!

This is a great fix and works. I tried an aftermarket recoil spring and that kept ruining the takedown lever. Went back to stock recoil spring and all is great now.

My father in law gave me his SR22 to fix for him. He said it wasn’t ejecting so I went to test it. Two shots and the slide almost came off. The factory lever was so worn out that it looked like it was supposed to be chamfered.
I replaced it with this part and replaced the extractor spring. Now it can mag dump without issue.

Everything just as they said. Received very quickly. Installed as per video. Price was good. Very happy.

The new lever went in with no problems at all. Video instructions were very helpful. It seems to be a well built product. 200 rounds fired so far without a hitch.

Took it to the range today, only fired 20 rounds thru it. The right side top is already starting to wear off.

The Twin Tech lever locks up tight and seems to be better built than the factory part..I came out better buying this part than paying shipping both ways for repair that the Ruger rep. wanted me to pay. Shame on Ruger.

A minor flaw in the Ruger SR22 is the factory takedown lever. The Twin Tech lever is vastly superior with a better detent and materials. Easy to install if you have a 3/32 roll pin punch. Fast response from Twin Tech. Many thanks to twin tech for their support of the shooting sports.
